Dr. Brian Webb was appointed Chief Investment Officer of Baylor University in June of 2010. He is responsible for the investment and management of the Endowment of Baylor University. Prior to returning to his alma mater, Dr. Webb enjoyed a varied career path that included serving as a Managing Director of UBS Global Asset Management, teaching and research as a member of the Finance Faculty at Indiana University, and managing the family farming operation in Northeast Texas.

Dr. Webb received his BBA and MBA degrees from Baylor University in 1977 and 1979. He received his Ph.D. in Finance from the University of North Carolina in 1990. At various times he has served as a lecturer in finance and economics at Baylor University, SMU and in the Baylor Executive MBA program in Dallas.

Dr. Webb has served as President and on the Board of Directors of NCREIF, a national research organization most noted for producing performance indices for the U.S. commercial real estate industry. He is a Real Estate Research Institute (RERI) Fellow, has been published in numerous academic and trade journals on topics such as portfolio optimization and returns, and has been a noted speaker at investment conferences around the globe.

Dr. Webb has also been active in various youth sports organizations serving on boards, coaching and attending games as a proud parent. Most notably, he served as President and on the Board of Directors of ASA, a fast growing youth sports association in Allen, Texas.

Dr. Webb is married to Margaret Gordon Webb and they have three children and one grandchild � Bradley Edwin, Emily Webb Kerr, Russell David, and Tucker Bradley (born June 2011 to Brad and Remy Jacobson Webb). Brian and Margaret are members of the Baylor Bear Foundation and have established an Endowed Scholarship Fund to provide assistance to deserving students in obtaining a quality education in a Christian environment.
